Tallin weekend breaks

Tallinn is the capital city of Estonia and in 2011 it also had the title "European Capital of Culture". In 1997 Tallinn Old Town also became a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site and all the main city sights are within walking distance. Tallin is the place for cheap weekend breaks where your budget will last longer than older established tourist destinations. Take in the views across Tallin from Toompea Hill with the medieval city walls, church spires and cobbled streets. Main city attractions include visits to the Kadriorg castle and Nevsky cathedral with the day or evening spent amongst the street cafes and restaurants in the Old Town square, home if the Tallinn Christmas markets during the festive period. Close by are the Rocca al Mare open air museum that gives a fascinating insight to what village life was like in Estonia in days gone by and also the Tallin song festival arena. Add to this the stunning city waterfront and close by beaches and you will wonder how you will be able to pack it all in to just one weekend!

Tallin flights arrive at Tallinn International Airport, approx 10 mins taxi ride from the city center. There is also a shuttle bus and public bus leaving regularly.
